It lights into cedar and coffee right away, medium-full body arriving with more push than the price suggests. The sun-grown wrapper keeps it drier and earthier than the sweet maduro sibling - this is the leaner, more savory side of the Padron blend. A black pepper flickers on the retrohale early. The draw is open and the burn behaves, and within an inch you've stopped thinking about the fact that this stick costs single digits. That's the trick of it.

The middle fills in with a leathery, earthy core, the coffee turning toward espresso and a faint cocoa creeping in behind it. It's not a complex cigar - it states its case and holds it - but the balance is genuinely good and there's none of the harshness cheap cigars usually carry. My burn stayed even and the ash held a decent inch of grey. This is the Padron construction pedigree applied to an everyday price, and the middle third is where that value shows clearest.
