My cold draw gave cream and a nutty almond note. This is the Connecticut line with a bit more heft - the richest, fullest of its sizes.

It opens mild-medium and creamy but with more body than the slim sizes - almond, cream, a gentle cedar, and a fuller mouthfeel from the 54 ring. The buttery Connecticut character leads with no pepper bite, but there's more of it. The pigtail clipped clean, draw open and smooth, burn a straight line. Where the Corona Gorda whispers, the Toro speaks a little louder - the same creamy elegance with more presence on the palate. A smooth, rounded start with real substance.

The middle is creamy Connecticut depth with body. Cream and almond lead, cedar and a light toast fill in, a faint sweetness rounds it - mild-medium but fuller and rounder than the Corona Gorda, the bigger ring giving more filler and a richer mouthfeel over about eighty minutes. Polished and clean, the Garcia construction flawless. My ash held a thick tight column, burn immaculate. This is the most substantial, satisfying size of the Connecticut line, still smooth but with more to chew on.

The final third keeps the cream, almond, cedar and toast smooth and full to the nub over roughly eighty minutes, mild-medium and rounded throughout. My verdict: the Connecticut Toro is the fullest, richest size of the line - the creamy blend with real body. Honest notes: it's still genuinely mild-medium, so full-bodied fans want the other lines, and at eighty minutes it's a longer commitment than the Corona Gorda. But for a smooth, substantial creamy smoke, this is the pick of the Connecticut sizes.
