History

E.P. Carrillo was founded in 2009 by Ernesto Perez-Carrillo Jr., one of the most respected names in the premium cigar world. Before starting the brand he had led La Gloria Cubana, the family business he built into a cult favorite before selling it to General Cigar.

After leaving General Cigar, Perez-Carrillo launched EPC Cigar Co. with his son and daughter, establishing the Tabacalera La Alianza factory in the Dominican Republic. Lines such as La Historia, Encore and Pledge earned major critical acclaim, with several named among the top cigars of their release years.

The brand is family-run and known for refined, balanced blends that reflect Perez-Carrillo's decades of blending experience.
