History

Ashton was founded in 1985 by Robert Levin of the Philadelphia tobacconist Holt's. Rather than owning a factory, Ashton partnered with the Fuente family, whose Dominican operation produces Ashton's cigars to the brand's specifications.

Ashton is known for smooth, refined Dominican blends, from the mild Classic to the full-bodied VSG (Virgin Sun Grown). The partnership with the Fuentes has given Ashton a reputation for consistency and craftsmanship.

Lines

Aged Maduro

A Connecticut Broadleaf maduro-wrapped line over aged Dominican tobaccos, offering a medium body with sweet, earthy, coffee notes.

Cabinet Selection

A luxury line of aged Dominican tobaccos rested for years and finished with a select Connecticut Shade wrapper, offered in larger formats with a mild-to-medium, creamy profile.

Classic

The original Ashton line launched in 1985, using aged Dominican filler and binder under a smooth Connecticut Shade wrapper for a mild, creamy, nutty smoke.

ESG (Estate Sun Grown)

Ashton's flagship, ultra-premium Dominican puro built from the Fuente family's oldest estate-grown sun grown tobaccos.

Heritage Puro Sol

A rich, box-pressed blend with an Ecuadorian Sun Grown wrapper over Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos, delivering medium-full body and complexity.

Symmetry

A medium-to-full Ashton blend wrapped in an Ecuadorian wrapper over aged Dominican binder and filler, made at the Fuente factory.

VSG (Virgin Sun Grown)

Released in 1999, Ashton's full-bodied line built around a rare Ecuadorian sun-grown wrapper over aged Dominican tobaccos, delivering rich spice, leather and wood.
