About the Clásica line
The Cohiba Línea Clásica is the marca's original range, the one that started as a private cigar rolled for Fidel Castro in 1966 before Cohiba was released to the public in 1982. It is built entirely from select Cuban tobacco grown in the Vuelta Abajo region, and its seco and ligero leaves undergo a rare third fermentation in barrels — a step unique to Cohiba that gives the line its signature smoothness.
The Clásica includes some of the most storied vitolas in Cuban cigars, among them the elegant Lanceros, the Corona Especial and the flagship Esplendidos. Medium to medium-full, it is known for a grassy, honeyed, subtly tangy character that many consider the definitive Cuban profile.
