About the Kentucky Fire Cured line
A collaboration idea from master blender Willy Herrera and Jonathan Drew, Kentucky Fire Cured broke convention by using fire-cured leaf, tobacco traditionally destined for pipes and chew, cured over smoldering hardwood fires rather than air-dried. Rolled at Drew Estate's La Gran Fabrica in Esteli, Nicaragua, the blend pairs a rugged fire-cured wrapper with a Nicaraguan binder and a filler that includes fire-cured and Nicaraguan tobaccos. The result is an unmistakable smoky, savory, barbecue-like profile with sweet undertones that polarized traditionalists but won a devoted following. It helped pioneer the fire-cured cigar category.
