Crux Cigars was founded by Minnesota retailer Jeff Haugen and business partner Joe Utterback, with blends produced in Nicaragua at Plasencia's factory. The brand built a reputation for balanced, well-constructed boutique cigars and a signature closed-foot design on several of its lines.
